So, I have been thinking about the dirty ol’ Duke of York.
First, there is no way the United States Government seeks extradition of the son of the Head of State of a close (and potentially loud) ally based upon a decades-old, he said/she said, civil lawsuit, right?
The charges are not for underage sex in two of the cases, as Virginia was above the age of consent when she had sex with Andrew in a London mansion (the U.K. has a national age of consent of 16) and during the events in a New York mansion, where the age of consent is 17. The only time she was below the legal age was at Epstein’s estate on his private island in the American Virgin Islands, where it is 18. So, I’m sure we can all see why it is difficult for Virginia to square giving legal consent to the same person on two occasions in two countries then crying foul the third time on a technicality.
Therefore, the claim must be about a conspiracy to have some weight. I.E., Andrew knew that Virginia had been trafficked and turned into a groomed sex slave. Her age during activities with Andrew would then become irrelevant, which seems to be the prosecution’s plan.
However, even if that is the case, there is no way she could prove it. If there were any evidence, surely it would’ve been presented before now?
Meanwhile, Andrew gains nothing by agreeing to testify. So, he appeals forever, drags it out, and they settle to stop the legal fees bleeding them both dry.
Game over.
Of course, that is what a sensible person would do. We are talking about the ‘no sweat’ interview dude who will want to clear the name of the ancient Duchy of York or some other such noble noncense.
The other thing I have noticed is that this entire Andrew affair comes with a British nation-sized helping of B.S. and hypocrisy. For example, what is your opinion of (as opposed to the rich and powerful) the millions of powerless and poor British men who ogled, along with thousands of other girls, most famously, the tits of sixteen-year-old Samantha Fox on Page 3 of The Sun newspaper?
Are they all perverts?
It seems those who for decades ignored the depravity of topless teens on Page 3 of the U.K.’s biggest-selling newspaper during the time these events took place are now layering very modern ideas over the reality of sexuality throughout the ages and expecting a woke result.
Until relatively recently, humans were primarily dead by forty. Yes, those who are attracted to pre-pubescent children (pedophiles) and pubescent children (hebephiles) have unnatural predilections, of that there is no doubt. But, we have no evidence of that being the case with Andrew.
Finding those who have entirely gone through puberty attractive is human, although often unwise to act upon if the age gap is large or there is an issue with power dynamics. And this is especially so if one is male.
Conversely, how many stories of female teachers banging their male students have we heard? How often have you heard a man say they thought that situation was fantastic? Or, a woman claiming that it isn’t the same?
And, why doesn’t the general populace take it as seriously?
Finally, I hear the story of Virginia flying around the world in luxury, and it reminds me of the true-life character Penny Lane Trumball from the movie Almost Famous. I think of groupies backstage at every rock show, buckle bunnies at the rodeo, models at every nightclub VIP table worldwide--nubile, young, unapologetic star-fuckers are everywhere.
So, why would Andrew ever force himself on someone, sex traffic, or be knowingly involved with any of these claims? There is an endless supply of young women happily making decisions, wisely or not, to be part of his celebrity lifestyle? Not forgetting, he had an entourage and he had undercover British policemen with him. Indeed someone would have reported up the ranks that there was a severe problem with the Duke and a child sex trafficking ring.
If speculating, the most despicable motive of all could be that when the late Epstein told him his friends wanted to meet a prince and asked which he wanted an introduction to, he said something like, young, hot, blonde, but make sure she’s over sixteen. Like, almost too deliberately so, that still wouldn’t necessarily be illegal. No matter how creepy. But it seems he could have gone a lot older.
Ultimately, it comes down to a couple of questions. First, is the Duke of York a pompous, entitled, perspiration-impaired, gross, liar, and walking national disaster? Yes.
But is he a pedophile? No. (The evidence doesn’t lead to that conclusion.)
So, will he spend a day in jail? Oh please.
